Data disclosure/Private sphere
What does "custom" mean? If you set the standard disclosure to "custom", nobody is given permission to begin with. Only when you set a custom disclosure for a person or a group, will the person or group receive the corresponding permission, for example to view your mobile phone number.
Where do I create custom disclosure? Below the default disclosure you can define your custom data disclosure for your groups and contacts. To apply a custom disclosure to a person, who is not one of your contacts, go to that person's profile and click to the right of the profile image on "Edit data disclosure". Here you can now permit a person to view or prohibit him from viewing specific data of yours.
Which disclosure has priority? A person's custom disclosure always has priority! The disclosure for a person has priority over the disclosure for a group. For instance: In the default setting, "Fax number" is set to "Contacts" and also disclosed for the group "Fax machine owners". Joe Bloggs is not your contact, but a member of the group "Fax machine owners". Therefore, he can see your fax number. If you set the custom disclosure for Joe Bloggs to "no", Joe Bloggs cannot see the fax number!
Who can view my data, if I click on "all"?
The data disclosure always applies to the Community in which you are currently a member. If you click on "all" here in the %%communityName%% Community, you only apply this setting to the %%communityName%% Community.
Search and find
How can I find a person from all members?
Go to the summary of your contacts. You get here from every page by clicking on "contacts" at the very top of any page. Here you can search for confirmed contacts in the bottom right-hand sectors using the search criteria of "Name" „Tags“, „Town/city“ and „Post code“ suchen. You can search for a Christian name, surname, family name and nickname in the „Name“ field.
Alternatively you can also search in the entire list. The list is sorted according to names. Above the list you additionally have the option of following the Christian and surnames according to the initials.
Messages
How can I send a message? Go to your messages section. You get here from every page by clicking on “contacts” at the very top of any page. You now see the summary of your inbox. To the right of this you will find the navigation for your "my messages" sector. Click on “Write message” here. A message form is now opened here where you can enter the recipient at “To:” Type in the name of your recipient in the line to do this. Contacts will be displayed to you that correspond to your entry as soon as you start typing. Then add the recipient by clicking on his image. You can enter a keyword or abbreviation relating to the content of the message at “Re”. You can write your message in the third field. Then click on send to “send” to send the message.
Hint: You can send a message directly from one profile to the profile owner (even to non-contacts) by clicking on "write message" next to the profile photograph.
How can I send a message to several contacts at the same time?
As described in "How can I send a message?" you insert the recipient in the message form at "To:" You can repeat this process as often as you as you like and thus add more and more recipients.
On the right hand side next to the message form you will additionally find the "Add recipient" box. If you want to send a message to all your contacts at the same time you click on "To all my contacts" here. In this way all your contacts will be added to your recipients' list in one go. In just the same way you can click on a Tag to add on the contacts that you previously assigned to a Tag. If you want to delete a contract from the list of recipients again simply click on the cross behind his name.
Please note: Only use this function if your contacts consent to this. The abuse of this function is viewed by us as spamming and leads to exclusion from the mimple network.

Login/Logout
When logging in you log into the community with your user name and your password. In this way you identify yourself to the mimple network and the corresponding community. You then have full access to your details and your personal settings. In technical terms a so-called session is opened up between your computer and our servers. Our servers notice in this way that they are the one who sits in front of the computer and communicates with us. You must click on “logout” to end this session. Through this "logging out” you are telling us that you no longer want to be logged in because you want to leave the computer for instance. Logging out above all ensures the security of your data. This ensures that other people, for instance, who also have access to your computer do not still have access to the mimple network and the community using your name.
Tag
A tag is a keyword that you can assign to a contact or a photograph. Using tags you can group your contacts easily and thus find them easily. You can choose the tags freely. Common tags for contact are, for instance, colleagues, friends, family, sports, old school pals. Tags are frequently used for photographs which express who or what is on the photograph (Jones, school friends, club colleagues, a dog, a landscape) or where or in which context the photograph was taken (Berlin, Toby‘s birthday, Crete holiday). You are the only one who sees the tags that you assign to your contacts. Those people also see the tags you assign to your photos who may see the respective photograph. Thus your grouping can also be used by the person viewing.
